These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Pillomi mobile application and pillomi.app website, published by Pillomi SAS (“Pillomi”, “we”).
By downloading, installing, or using Pillomi, you unconditionally accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our services.
Description of Service
Pillomi is a medication management app offering:
- Medication and treatment management
- Push notification intake reminders
- Medication adherence tracking
- AI-powered prescription scanning (Gemini 2.5 Flash)
- Official medication information (French BDPM database)
- Personalized AI weekly adherence coaching
- Intelligent adaptive reminders based on real intake habits
- Family member medication management (Family Mode, Premium)
Pillomi is a medication management aid only. It is not a medical device, health service, or substitute for professional medical advice.
Information displayed in Pillomi is for informational purposes only. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist for medical decisions.
Account Creation
Accessing Pillomi requires an account created via Sign in with Apple (iOS) or Sign in with Google (Android). You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
Pillomi may suspend or delete accounts used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.
Plans and Pricing
3.1 Free Plan
The free plan includes:
- Up to 3 medications
- Unlimited reminders for those medications
- 7-day history
- Official BDPM medication information
- 1 prescription scan per month
The free plan is available indefinitely.
3.2 Premium Plan
Premium unlocks all Pillomi features:
- Unlimited medications
- Unlimited history
- Unlimited prescription scans
- AI-powered weekly adherence coaching
- Intelligent adaptive reminders
- Family Mode: manage up to 5 family members
- Monthly PDF adherence report
Premium is available in two billing options:
- Monthly: $3.99 / month
- Annual: $31.99 / year (equivalent to $2.66/month — save 33%)
Prices include all applicable taxes. Pillomi reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
3.3 7-Day Free Trial
Every new user receives a 7-day free Premium trial — no commitment, no charge, no credit card required.
At the end of the trial, if no Premium subscription is activated, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is retained but Premium features are no longer available.
The free trial is limited to one use per account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass this limit violates these Terms.
Subscription, Payment and Renewal
4.1 Subscription
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Android). Payment is processed by Apple or Google per their respective terms.
4.2 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled before renewal. The subscription amount is charged automatically to your App Store or Google Play payment method.
You will receive a reminder before each annual renewal.
4.3 Cancellation
Cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS: Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Pillomi
- Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Pillomi
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refund is issued for the remaining period unless required by law.
After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan. Data is retained for 90 days, then deleted if no new subscription is activated.
4.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies. Contact platform support directly. Pillomi may, at its discretion, grant refunds in exceptional cases via support@pillomi.app.
4.5 Price Changes
Active subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any pricing change takes effect. Renewal after notification constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Acceptable Use
By using Pillomi you agree to:
- Use the service only for personal and lawful purposes
- Not circumvent security measures or free plan limitations
- Not create multiple accounts to obtain multiple free trials
- Not store third-party data without consent (except within the Family Mode framework)
- Not introduce malware or attempt unauthorized data access
- Respect Pillomi's intellectual property
Family Mode - Specific Terms
Family Mode (Premium) lets a caregiver manage a family member's medications. By using it:
- You confirm you have obtained the explicit consent of the person whose medications you are managing
- You agree to use the family member's data only for managing their treatments
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information entered for the family member's profile
- The managed person may withdraw consent at any time via the revocation code or by contacting support@pillomi.app
Pillomi disclaims all liability for use of Family Mode without the consent of the person concerned.
AI Features
Pillomi integrates AI features powered by Google Gemini 2.5 Flash for:
- Automatic medication extraction from prescription photos
- Personalized adherence coaching message generation
- Reminder schedule adjustment suggestions
These features are provided as an aid and may contain inaccuracies. Always verify AI results before taking action. Pillomi does not guarantee AI accuracy and disclaims liability for errors.
Prescription scanning may contain errors. Always verify detected medications before saving.
Medical Information Disclaimer
Medical information in Pillomi (BDPM sheets, AI content) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or prescription.
Pillomi is not a medical device under EU Regulation MDR 2017/745. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding your treatment.
Pillomi is not liable for medical decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
Service Availability
Pillomi strives to maintain reasonable service availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or force majeure events. Pillomi does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
In the event of extended Premium feature downtime, Pillomi may, at its discretion, extend affected users' subscriptions.
Intellectual Property
All Pillomi elements (app, website, logo, design, source code, content) are the exclusive property of Pillomi SAS, protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without prior written consent is prohibited.
Users retain full ownership of their personal data and content entered in the app.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pillomi is not liable for:
- Consequences of medication management errors (missed doses, incorrect dosage, etc.)
- Medical decisions based on displayed information
- Temporary service interruptions
- Data loss following account deletion or technical failure
- AI feature analysis errors
- Indirect, consequential, or non-material damages
Pillomi's liability is limited to amounts paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes to These Terms
Pillomi may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email with 15 days' notice. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not accept changes, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account.
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete my account. Deletion is permanent; all data is erased within 30 days. Pillomi reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms without prior notice or refund.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, parties agree to seek amicable resolution first. Failing that, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
You may also resort to a consumer mediator free of charge in accordance with applicable regulations.
